Sleepy Captain

We have been training nonstop. Ian collapsed hours ago and Spencer seems to be on the edge of sleeping. Since we were at the dish I told him to go sleep. I stood at the dish looking around for my lover and team captain, Tala.

"Where'd he go?" I said as I looked around the area. I didn't see him. I walked over to the bench to see Spencer looking at me with sleepy eyes.

"What's up?"
"Where's Tala? It's his turn to blade."
"I'm not sure. Haven't seen him for a while now." he said.
I nodded and started walking away. Before I knew it I heard Spencer snoring. I chuckled and decided to check the locker rooms.

Walking down the halls I noticed how quiet the Russian building was. When we were in Japan it was loud and full of people. But here at home we were usually the only ones who used the building. I wouldn't blame them. After Boris and his plans a lot of people didn't want anything to do with blading because they didn't want to fall for any tricks. Plus running into any of us on a bad day would scare anyone.
I walked into the locker room and saw his shoes were on the floor. He wasn't wearing them which was odd. He never walked around with them off unless he was at home. I walked towards the showers to see if he was near the humid areas, he wasn't.

"Tala?" I said walking down the rows of lockers.
I stopped when I heard a faint sound. I walked a few rows in front of me and saw he was sitting on a bench that was pushed against the wall. I walked closer and crouched down to look at him. He was sleeping. He was so relaxed. I smiled and could feel my cheeks heat up when I started to think to myself.
'He's really cute when he's asleep and not screaming drills at me.' I chuckled as I watched him for a moment.

"I love you." I said knowing he wouldn't hear me. I stood up and walked over to get his shoes. When I got back he hadn't moved but there was a smile on his face. I set them down and got him on my back. I knew he would want to practice as soon as he could so I was saving him the trouble.
Walking out to the training area I head him whisper my name under his breath. I stopped walking and turned my head to see if he was awake at all. He wasn't so I started walking again. As I reached the door to the arena area I stopped to catch my breath. I'd never admit it to him but he's actually pretty heavy.
When I finally made it to the seats where the other two were still sleeping I sat down for a moment to make sure I had the energy to go back to the dish. It took me a few minutes of staring at the ceiling to actually want to go back to the dish.
I started to look at Falborg when I heard Tala groan. I looked over to see his eyes starting to flutter open. I smiled and started to mess up his hair.

"Hey.." he said in his usual groggy post nap voice.
"Morning Captain." I said with a chuckle.
"Why am I out here?"
"I carried you out here." I smirked. "Now that you're up you practice I could use a nap."
He looked at me then looked over at the others. He stood up and leaned close to me. He gave me a small kiss on my cheek and walked off to the dish and started to look at Wolborg, just as I looked at Falborg.

"Goodnight, my sleepy captain." I said softly as my eyes closed. I could hear his rip cord and the sound of his beys rotation in the dish. But soon I feel asleep right before I heard him say something which make me smirk.

"I love you too."
